A scene change is a spontaneous change of location or situation that occurs within a dream. It may or may not be induced by the dreamer.
Possible ways of deliberately inducing a scene change[]
- Walking through a door or other passage and expect to find a completely different location on the other side.
- Willing yourself to exist in a particular desired location.
- Intentionally losing visuals (possibly by spinning or simply closing your eyes) and constructing a dreamscape afterwards (see recovering from lost visuals).
