Redirects can be made. When you visit a redirect, the content of the target page will be shown with a small line saying "(Redirected from bla)".

You are expected to make redirects when you create your article from synonyms. For example, Dream sign has redirects DS, Dream Sign and Dreamsign.

Here's an example of how to create a redirect from Dream Sign to the Dream sign article:

  1. Type "Dream sign" into the Wikicities search box on the left and press Go.
  2. Follow the link which says "Create a new article with this name".
  3. An edit form should appear. Type: "#REDIRECT [[Dream sign]]". This is the code to create a redirect.
Note: If you are making a redirect from an acronym to a full term, add {{R from acronym}}, making "#REDIRECT [[Dream sign]] {{R from acronym}}"
  4. Copy that text from the main box into the edit summary
  5. If you are logged in, mark the edit as minor.
  6. Save the page.

You can test your redirect by returning to LucidWiki:Sandbox and following the link. The full article should come up.

If you are creating a redirect for an abbreviation, and the abbreviation is not listed in List of abbreviations, please add it, in alphabetical order.
